Our Team
Trinity Balla (she/her) founded Grace Period in 2016, at 15 as a sophomore in High School. Founded as a way to bridge her passions for women’s health and community outreach, Trinity hopes to spread her vision for Grace Period beyond the Bay Area.
Trinity is currently a law student at UC Davis School of Law, where she is pursuing her Juris Doctor (J.D.). She is also a graduate from American University with a Bachelors of Science in Public Health. She is the reigning Miss Black California 2025.
Edinna Obaseki (she/her) holds a Master’s degree in Global Health from UCSF, as well as a dual Bachelor’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies/Sexuality and Biology. Her work is rooted in Black Feminism, Reproductive Justice, and the intersections of land sovereignty and health outcomes.
With a deep passion for de colonial Women’s Reproductive rights and equity in healthcare, Edinna has remained committed to nonprofit work, advocacy, and educational outreach. She plans to pursue a career in medicine, with a focus on obstetrics and gynecology. In January 2023, Edinna co-founded Grace Period alongside Trinity, continuing her dedication to community-based solutions in health equity.
