Trinity Balla (she/her) founded Grace Period in 2016, at 15 as a sophomore in High School. Founded as a way to bridge her passions for women’s health and community outreach, Trinity hopes to spread her vision for Grace Period beyond the Bay Area.
Trinity is currently a law student at UC Davis School of Law, where she is pursuing her Juris Doctor (J.D.). She is also a graduate from American University with a Bachelors of Science in Public Health. She is the reigning Miss Black California 2025.
Edinna Obaseki (she/her) holds a MS in Global Health and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Women’s & Gender Studies/Sexuality and Biology. Her work is grounded in Black Feminism, Prison Abolition, Reproductive Justice, and the intersections of Land Sovereignty and Health.
Passionate about decolonial women’s reproductive rights and healthcare equity, Edinna has dedicated her career to community organizing and advocacy. She currently practices as a Birth Doula and plans to pursue a medical career in obstetrics and gynecology. In January 2023, she co-founded Grace Period with Trinity, continuing her commitment to community mobilizing.
